Boston Scientific Medical Device (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Manufacturing Equipment Technician (Electrical/Electronic) to join its core manufacturing team in Penang.

The role focuses on responding to equipment, yield, and process issues, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurring problems. You will perform electronic troubleshooting, PLC programming, and hardware interfacing, maintain spare parts inventories, and support new production methods while ensuring safety and

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers to develop, troubleshoot, standardize, and improve production methods and procedures

Perform electronic troubleshooting, PLC programming, and electronic hardware interfacing

Maintain critical spare parts inventory to minimize equipment downtime

Support Manufacturing Engineers in investigating and implementing new production methods

Assist in design methods, part sourcing, and documentation

Conduct equipment qualifications and validations, including report writing

Design, specify, manufacture, test, and document production equipment changes and improvements

Liaise with internal personnel and external vendors as needed

Take ownership of preventative maintenance procedures for an assigned process/area

Report any environmental, health, or safety concerns to Manager

Job Requirements

Diploma in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic, Mechanical, Mechatronic/Electromechanical, or related field)

Skills required: equipment maintenance, equipment qualification, critical thinking, problem-solving

3–8 years of relevant working experience

Strong equipment/tester troubleshooting skills; experience with tester PM is an advantage

Solid electronic knowledge is a must

Proficiency in spare parts management and Pivot tables/tech skills

Able to work Shifts
