Job summary

Boston Scientific Medical Device (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a capable engineer to join the core team responsible for maintaining and improving production equipment.

You will collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers to troubleshoot and standardize methods, perform electronic troubleshooting, PCB interfaces, and manage spare parts to minimize downtime. The role requires a Diploma in Engineering and 3–8 years of relevant experience, with strong electronics knowledge and proficiency in pivot

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic, Mechanical, Mechatronic/Electromechanical, or related field).
• Skills: equipment maintenance, equipment qualification, critical thinking, problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers to develop, troubleshoot, standardize, and improve production methods and procedures.
• Perform electronic troubleshooting, PLC programming, and electronic hardware interfacing
• Maintain critical spare parts inventory to minimize equipment downtime
• Support Manufacturing Engineers in investigating and implementing new production methods
• Assist in design methods, part sourcing, and documentation
• Conduct equipment qualifications and validations, including report writing
• Design, specify, manufacture, test, and document production equipment changes and improvements
• Liaise with internal personnel and external vendors as needed
• Take ownership of preventative maintenance procedures for an assigned process/area
• Report any environmental, health, or safety concerns to Manager

About the Role

Join the core team responsible for responding to equipment, yield, and process-related issues, and implementing corrective and preventative actions to prevent recurring problems.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers to develop, troubleshoot, standardize, and improve production methods and procedures

Perform electronic troubleshooting, PLC programming, and electronic hardware interfacing

Maintain critical spare parts inventory to minimize equipment downtime

Support Manufacturing Engineers in investigating and implementing new production methods

Assist in design methods, part sourcing, and documentation

Conduct equipment qualifications and validations, including report writing

Design, specify, manufacture, test, and document production equipment changes and improvements

Liaise with internal personnel and external vendors as needed

Take ownership of preventative maintenance procedures for an assigned process/area

Job Requirements

Diploma in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic, Mechanical, Mechatronic/Electromechanical, or related field)

Skills required: equipment maintenance, equipment qualification, critical thinking, problem-solving

3–8 years of relevant working experience

Strong equipment/tester troubleshooting skills; experience with tester PM is an advantage

Solid electronic knowledge is a must

Proficiency in spare parts management and Pivot tables/tech skills
