Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise in Penang, Batu Kawan, is seeking a Manufacturing/Product Engineer to design engineering solutions for manufacturing processes, implement production standards, tooling, and capacity models for new product components.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to evaluate factory performance, ensure regulatory compliance, and contribute to cost-effective manufacturing solutions from NPI through lifecycle, working with internal and external partners.

Qualifications

• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline or commensurate work experience.
• Typically has 2-4 years of work experience, preferably in engineering design and solutions, or advanced degree with little or no work experience.
• Preferred certifications: Six Sigma Certification, APICS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Designs portions of engineering solutions, including methods, operation sequences, and processes for manufacturing parts and assemblies based on established principles and specifications.
• Implements time standards, production area layouts, and tooling/process requirements for subsystems and new products.
• Develops cost estimates, capacity models, and recommendations for tooling and process requirements.
• Develops and reviews key indicators to measure factory performance and provide recommendations to factory management.
• Collaborates with management and external partners regarding processes, standards, compliance and manufacturing issues.
• Coordinates recommendations for problem resolution and participates in project teams to develop reliable, cost-effective manufacturing solutions from NPI through lifecycle.
• Ensures compliance of manufacturing operations with internal and external regulations.
• Develops conclusions and written reports from current-state analysis and recommendations.
