Job summary

Nexv Manufacturing Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a Process Engineer to develop and optimize manufacturing processes for current and new vehicle models. You will create and maintain process flow charts, layouts, work instructions and SOPs.

Responsibilities include line balancing, manpower planning, cycle-time studies and production readiness before model launches. You will work with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and maintain PFMEA, control plans, standardised work and 5S, driving

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain process flow charts, process layouts, work instructions and standard operating procedures.
• Plan and improve assembly processes for new models and existing vehicle models.
• Conduct line balancing, manpower planning and cycle time studies to meet production targets.
• Confirm production readiness before model launch, including manpower, tools, equipment, parts flow and workstations.
• Identify and resolve process-related issues affecting safety, quality, delivery, productivity or cost.
• Work with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Logistics and suppliers to implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Define and improve the use of jigs, fixtures, special tools and equipment.
• Support equipment installation, commissioning and process validation.
• Conduct process audits and verify that operators follow approved work instructions and process controls.
• Analyse production data, downtime, defects and rework; recommend and implement improvements.
• Review engineering changes and assess their impact on production processes, tooling, manpower and cycle time.
• Support trial builds, pilot runs and new model introductions; document issues and follow up on action plans.
• Maintain process documentation, including PFMEA, control plans, standardised work and process parameters, where applicable.
• Promote workplace safety, 5S, ergonomics and continuous improvement activities.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in related field (Mechanical, Manufacturing and other related field)
