Job summary

Carsem (M) Sdn. Bhd is seeking a Manufacturing Operation Planner (S-site, Jelapang) to develop, manage and maintain detailed lot schedules supporting on‑time production delivery.

Collaboration with Engineering, Production and Procurement ensures material readiness and adherence to technical requirements. The role requires a Diploma and a Bachelor’s degree in SCM or related fields, 1–2 years in semiconductor planning (fresh graduates welcome), and Mandarin for handling Chinese customers.

Qualifications

• Diploma and bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operational Research, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 1–2 years semiconductor planning experience; fresh graduates encouraged to apply.
• Mandarin speaking is needed to handle Chinese customers.
• Proficient in Excel, ERP or any planner system.
• Strong planning, scheduling and organizational skills.
• Solid understanding of production workflows and documentation control.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage and maintain detailed lot schedules to support production planning and on‑time delivery of orders.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Production and Procurement to align schedules, material readiness and technical requirements.
• Facilitate cross‑functional communication to resolve issues and ensure departmental alignment.
• Monitor day‑to‑day production progress and identify delays or constraints, implementing corrective actions.
• Ensure BOMs, work instructions and records are accurate, current and compliant with internal standards.
• Track production performance against plan and highlight risks, issues and improvement opportunities.
• Prepare and present regular progress reports to management and customers with visibility on status and milestones.
• Support continuous improvement by identifying process gaps and recommending enhancements.

Job description

Manufacturing Operation Planner (S-site, Jelapang)

Develop, manage, and maintain detailed lot schedules to support production planning and ensure on‑time delivery of orders.

Coordinate closely with Engineering, Production, and Procurement teams to align schedules, material readiness, and technical requirements.

Facilitate clear and effective cross‑functional communication to resolve operational issues, mitigate risks, and ensure departmental alignment.

Monitor day‑to‑day production progress, proactively identifying potential delays or constraints and implementing corrective actions to protect timelines.

Ensure all required documentation—including Bills of Materials (BOMs), work instructions, and supporting records—are accurate, current, and compliant with internal standards.

Track production performance against plan and highlight risks, issues, and improvement opportunities.

Prepare and present regular progress reports to management and customers, providing clear visibility on status, milestones, and delivery commitments.

Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process gaps and recommending enhancements to improve efficiency and coordination.

Job Requirements:

Possesses a Diploma and bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operational Research, Engineering, or any related discipline

Preferably minimum of 1–2 years of experience in semiconductor planning or a related field, fresh graduates are encouraged to apply too!

Mandarin speaking is needed for this position as this role requires to handle Chinese based customers.

They are supported with a global network of sales and technical support offices. The China factory, Carsem-Suzhou Ltd., is located in the province of Jiangsu, 50 miles (80Km) west of Shanghai. The new factory is 172K sq. ft. (16K sq. m.) and is on 645K sq. ft. (60K sq. m.) of land in the Suzhou Industrial Park. The construction was completed in January 2004, the staff has been through extensive training in Carsem's existing Malaysian factories and the assembly and test equipment to support the manufacture of the MLP (Micro Leadframe Package) Quad and Dual was installed during the second quarter of 2004. Customer qualifications were completed during the second quarter and the factory started shipping production volumes during the third quarter of 2004.
