Job summary

Intel Corporation in Malaysia (Penang) seeks a Manufacturing Engineering Equipment Manager to lead a team of engineers and technicians overseeing equipment maintenance, repair, and qualification to drive safety, quality and efficiency in production.

The role requires hands-on repair skills and the ability to develop training plans to ramp production. This is an on-site, experienced-hire position with a focus on manufacturing excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's with manufacturing operations or equipment management experience.
• Minimum 3 years of equipment maintenance/repairing experience.
• Knowledge of GMP and safety standards.
• Experience in manufacturing QA processes.
• Ability to develop training plans and manage certifications.

Responsibilities

• Own and support Test manufacturing equipment, including troubleshooting, repair, and optimization.
• Lead quality containment and excursion management activities.
• Repair and sustain machines as an equipment engineer.
• Lead and coach a team of technicians for manufacturing operations and maintenance.
• Ensure production schedules meet safety and quality standards.
• Oversee equipment performance, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Develop training and certification plans for ramp readiness.
• Supervise shift schedules and staffing coverage.
• Resolve operational, safety, and security issues.
• Collaborate with engineering to address factory health challenges.
• Drive team results through goal setting and performance management.
