Intel Technology Sdn. Bhd. in Penang seeks a Manufacturing Equipment Engineering Lead to lead a team of engineers and technicians responsible for overseeing operations, equipment maintenance, and repair within Intel's assembly facilities.

You will drive uptime, quality, and safety, while developing training plans and coordinating with engineering to resolve factory health challenges. This role emphasizes leadership, technical expertise, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 3+ years in manufacturing ops or equipment management; or Master's +2+ years.
• Minimum 3 years of equipment maintenance/repairing experience.
• Proficiency in equipment monitoring, scheduling, and maintenance practices.
• Experience in manufacturing quality assurance processes and practices.
• Knowledge of good manufacturing practices and safety standards.
• Ability to develop training plans and manage team certifications.

Responsibilities

• Able to repair and sustain machine as an equipment engineer.
• Own, sustain, troubleshoot, repair, and optimize Assembly equipment to hit uptime/yield/quality targets.
• Lead/coach a team of technicians responsible for maintenance and repair.
• Drive reliability and process improvements via root cause analysis, preventive maintenance, SPC, FMEA.
• Ensure safety and quality standards while meeting production schedules.
• Develop training/certification plans for ramp requirements.
• Oversee scheduling, shifts, PTO, and staffing coverage.
• Collaborate with engineering to address factory health issues.
• Lead tactical plans to streamline workflows and cross-group coordination.
• Act as first responder for operational, safety, and security issues.
