Job summary

Intel Corporation in Malaysia (Penang) invites experienced Manufacturing Engineering Equipment Manager to lead a team responsible for overseeing operations, equipment maintenance, and repair within Intel's manufacturing facilities. You will drive safety, quality, and efficiency across production while enabling the factory to maintain leadership in innovative manufacturing.

This role requires hands-on capability, a bachelor's or master's degree, and substantial experience in equipment management,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 3+ years in manufacturing ops or equipment management.
• Master's degree in a relevant field with 2+ years of experience.
• Minimum 3 years of equipment maintenance/repairing experience.
• Knowledge of good manufacturing practices and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Repair and sustain equipment as an equipment engineer.
• Own, sustain, troubleshoot, repair, and optimize assembly equipment to meet uptime, yield, quality and productivity targets.
• Drive reliability and process improvements through root cause analysis and preventive maintenance.
• Lead and coach a team of technicians responsible for manufacturing operations, equipment maintenance, and repair.
• Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining safety and quality standards.
• Oversee equipment performance, troubleshooting, and repair to sustain operational efficiency.
• Establish training and certification plans for ramp readiness.
• Supervise shift schedules and staffing coverage.
• Resolve operational, safety, and security issues within toolsets or areas.
• Collaborate with engineering to address factory health and operational issues.
