Job summary

Master Tec Wire & Cable Sdn Bhd is seeking a proactive Engineer to join the operations team. You will be involved in plant floor operations, production line optimization, machinery efficiency, and quality assurance within our cable and wire facilities.

Responsibilities include assisting daily operations, identifying bottlenecks for Lean improvements, and supporting maintenance to reduce downtime while ensuring safety compliance and product quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related engineering disciplines.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing plant (wire, cable, metal, or plastics extrusion) encouraged.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing machinery, electrical circuitry, mechanical systems, or quality tools (7 QC Tools, 5S, Kaizen) is an advantage.
• Strong analytical mindset, hands-on problem-solving attitude, and clear communication across all levels of plant personnel.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily plant operations to ensure production lines run efficiently, safely, and on schedule.
• Identify bottlenecks in production processes and propose Kaizen/Lean improvements.
• Collaborate with maintenance and technical teams to reduce downtime and plan preventive maintenance.
• Support root-cause analysis for manufacturing defects to minimize scrap and ensure quality standards.
• Ensure operations comply with OSH standards and internal safety guidelines.
