Job summary

Plug Power in Malaysia is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to optimize production, improve manufacturability, and support design-to-production transitions for electrolyzer systems. You will work with global fabricators, internal teams, and suppliers to implement cost-effective manufacturing solutions and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

BS degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, or industrial).
Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt preferred.
Proven experience in high-tech manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support to global fabrication network, troubleshooting production issues.
Collaborate with design/engineering to improve manufacturability and assembly.
Work with fabricators and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and align processes.
Define scope of work for outsourcing fabrication and input for procurement.
Translate designs into procure-able data and drive design changes as needed.
Analyze and improve processes to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
Assist with prototype builds and small-scale production runs, providing feedback on manufacturability.
