Plug Power in Malaysia is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II to optimize production, improve manufacturability, and drive cost‑effective solutions across fabrication, assembly, and testing of electrolyzer systems.

The role requires hands‑on problem solving, collaboration with engineering and procurement, and a focus on reducing lead times while maintaining quality and safety standards. A BS in engineering, 3+ years of relevant experience, and Six Sigma familiarity are favored.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, industrial).
• Six Sigma green belt/black belt preferred.
• Three (3) or more years of related work experience; high‑tech manufacturing experience preferred.
• Proven track record of helping to drive manufacturing improvement projects.
• Strong analytical abilities with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to global fabrication network and troubleshoot production issues in real time.
• Ensure manufacturability feedback with design/engineering teams for easier assembly.
• Collaborate with external fabricators and suppliers for timely material delivery and process alignment.
• Define scope of work for outsourcing fabrication activities with procurement input.
• Translate designs into procureable data and drive design changes for manufacturability.
• Analyze and improve processes to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
