Job summary

Allozymes in Penang, Malaysia, is seeking a Manufacturing Software Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain digital solutions for shopfloor and supply chain operations. You will automate data collection, transform data, and implement analytics and ML solutions across value chain processes.

You will lead cross-functional projects, translate manufacturing needs into technical specs, and deliver end-to-end software solutions with robust data governance and cybersecurity compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or related field with 5+ years of relevant experience
• Experience in full-stack software development and data integration workflows
• Design, develop, deploy data pipelines and BI solutions for manufacturing or supply chain
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, JavaScript, C#, Visual Basic, ASP.NET, React
• Experience with ETL tools and RESTful APIs
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
• Knowledge of BI/visualization tools (Qlik Sense, Power BI, Grafana) and AI/ML awareness
• Strong analytical, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to learn new skills quickly and work across diverse tech stacks
• Ability to lead projects independently and in cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with management and operations to design and deliver digital manufacturing solutions
• Lead digital solution projects from planning to delivery, managing scope, risks, and timelines
• Translate manufacturing and supply chain needs into technical specs
• Develop full-stack software solutions, databases, and analytics apps with seamless integration
• Create and run test plans to ensure performance and reliability
• Transform complex datasets into actionable insights for analytics and workflows
• Provide ongoing support ensuring reliability and minimal downtime
• Ensure compliance with data governance, cybersecurity, and regulatory standards
• Evaluate architecture and emerging tech to improve scalability and performance
• Mentor engineers through code reviews and design oversight
