Job summary

Agilent Technologies in Penang, Malaysia seeks a Manufacturing Software Developer to drive digitalization of shopfloor and supply chain operations. The role spans requirement analysis, design, development, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of digital solutions across data transformation, analytics, and ML workflows.

You will partner with management and cross-functional teams, lead projects, implement end-to-end software and data platforms, and ensure governance, security, and regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in software eng., CS, or related field; 5+ years of industry experience.
• Experience in full-stack development, SDLC, data platforms, and data integration workflows.
• Designed and deployed data pipelines and BI solutions for manufacturing or supply chain.
• Proficient in SQL, Python, JavaScript, C#, VB, ASP.NET, React or equivalent.
• Experience with ETL tools, data integration like Microsoft Fabric, and REST APIs.
• Databases: SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB; BI/visualization tools like Power BI, Qlik Sense.
• Strong analytical, leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Self-motivated, innovative, able to deliver complex projects; quick to learn new tech.

Responsibilities

• Partner with management, operations, IT, and global teams to deliver digital solutions.
• Lead digital solution projects from planning to implementation, managing scope and risks.
• Translate manufacturing needs into technical specifications for software teams.
• Develop full-stack solutions, data analytics, and ensure system integration.
• Create test plans and document results; ensure security and governance standards.
