Job summary

CHINA CONSTRUCTION YANGTZE RIVER (M) SDN. BHD. is seeking a senior project/construction manager to lead site activities in Malaysia, coordinating workers and subcontractors, managing materials, and ensuring contractual compliance.

The role includes travel to India for a 1–2 month assignment with allowances, followed by return to Malaysia projects. You should have a bachelor's in a related field, 6+ years of experience, and be proficient in Mandarin and English, with strong IT skills including

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a civil/construction-related field.
Minimum of 6 years of project/construction management experience in highrise or factory buildings.
Proficient in Mandarin and English for client communication.
Computer literate with Microsoft Office, Project, PowerPoint and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors.
Select tools, materials and equipment and track inventory.
Meet contractual conditions of performance.
Review the work progress on daily basis.
Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status.
Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.
Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licences.
Analyse, manage and mitigate risks.
Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
