Job summary

Schneider Innovations is seeking a Purchasing Executive to manage procurement with manufacturing partners in China and Southeast Asia from its Malaysia operations. The role focuses on supplier relationships, cost efficiency, and timely purchasing execution.

You will collaborate with the purchasing planning team to obtain quotations, negotiate terms, evaluate suppliers, and issue purchase orders, ensuring quality and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or sourcing.
• Experience with manufacturers in China or Southeast Asia preferred.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to evaluate supplier quotations effectively.
• Proficient in Mandarin for supplier communication; working-level English is sufficient.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable using digital tools.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Request and compare quotations from multiple manufacturers.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, payment terms, and other purchasing conditions.
• Evaluate suppliers based on cost, product quality, production capacity, and delivery reliability.
• Recommend suitable suppliers and execute purchase orders upon approval.
• Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and coordinate regular supplier communications.
• Monitor raw material prices, market trends, and supplier developments, providing relevant insights to management.
• Coordinate with internal planning and other teams to address purchasing-related issues.
