Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an AV Systems & Sound Engineer (Mandarin speaker) with a Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Electronics, AV Engineering, IT, or related fields. The role focuses on sound system design, installation, tuning, and commissioning, and includes pre‑sales support.

You will propose sound solutions, prepare documentation, deliver technical presentations, and work with internal teams and clients to ensure high‑quality audio performance across projects.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Electronics, AV Engineering, IT or related fields.
• Experience in AV system design, installation, pre-sales, or system integration is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of AV-IT products, sound systems, control systems, and integration methods.
• Proficiency in MS Office; ability to understand drawings and technical specifications.
• Proficiency in spoken and written Mandarin is required for communication with suppliers in China.

Responsibilities

• Design, install, and commission AV and sound systems for commercial, residential, and institutional projects.
• Set up microphones, mixers, amplifiers, speakers, PA systems, LED displays, video walls, and conferencing systems.
• Integrate AV systems with ELV systems (CCTV, access control, automation).
• Perform system testing, troubleshooting, calibration, and optimization.
• Prepare wiring diagrams, layout drawings, technical documentation, and reports.
• Coordinate with project teams, contractors, consultants, and MEP/ELV partners during installation.
• Provide on-site support during commissioning, handover, and post-installation.
• Manage and maintain AV equipment inventory and conduct periodic system inspections.
