Gplex Properties Sdn Bhd is seeking an Assistant Manager Accounts & Finance (Mandarin Speaker) to take full ownership of the holding company’s books and a small portfolio of related companies. You will lead a small team, close monthly books, prepare statutory accounts, and report to the COO with financial insights for decision making.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting & Finance, or a professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, MIA). Part-qualified candidates are welcome.
• At least 4 years’ accounting experience, including handling a full set of accounts and monthly and year-end closing independently.
• Strong working knowledge of MFRS, Malaysian corporate tax, SST, withholding tax and e-Invoicing.
• Hands-on experience in management accounting, audit and budgeting.
• Confident with accounting systems and Excel.
• Analytical, detail-minded and a good problem solver who works independently and meets deadlines.
• Good command of English.

Responsabilités

• Manage the full set of accounts (GL, AP, AR, bank reconciliations) and complete monthly, quarterly and year-end closing.
• Prepare financial statements, management reports and statutory accounts in line with MFRS.
• Prepare reporting packages for the listed parent company and reconcile intercompany and related-party balances.
• Handle corporate tax (CP204, Form C), SST, withholding tax, CP58, e-Invoicing and transfer pricing with our tax agent.
• Act as the main contact for the parent company and its auditors, and liaise with tax authorities and the company secretary.
• Implement and enforce internal controls to reduce financial risk and prevent fraud.
• Track financial KPIs (net profit, EBITDA, cash position, ROI), run financial analysis and scenario modelling, and give management clear recommendations.
• Manage accounts, audit, tax and SSM compliance for a few smaller group companies.
• Supervise, mentor and delegate work to the accounts team to keep output accurate and on time.
