Job summary

Private & Confidential in Malaysia is seeking a Contract & Procurement Manager to lead pre-contract activities, oversee tendering and supplier selection, and ensure project readiness. The role requires strong commercial and governance awareness to minimise risk and maximise value.

You will collaborate with HR for talent development, manage performance reviews, and provide strategic insights to support decisions on project viability, procurement strategies, and awards.

Qualifications

• Manage pre-contract activities: cost planning, tenders, and commercial evaluations.

• Maintain tactful stakeholder communications to complete job tasks.

• Provide day-to-day line-management and conduct performance reviews.
• Drive contract preparation, commercial reviews, and risk assessments before project start.
• Provide commercial insights and recommendations to support decisions on project viability and procurement.

Job description

• Manage pre-contract activities, including cost planning, tender processes, and commercial evaluations to support effective project initiation and contract readiness.
• Oversee tendering and procurement processes to support transparent, competitive, and effective contractor selection in accordance with organisational governance requirements.
• Tactful and effective in customer/stakeholder interactions in-order to complete job related tasks/activities.
• Collaborate with HR Dept. in implementating staff (if assigned) development plans/initiatives to nurture talent and strengthen competencies. Provide day-to-day line-management and timely execution of performance management reviews to ensure effective and efficient delivery of organisational processes/transactions by optimising resources capability. Embody and cultivate the Company’s core values to provide clarity of purpose, improve team cohesion, and sense of commitment in the workplace.
• Collaborate with HR Dept. in implementating staff (if assigned) development plans/initiatives to nurture talent and strengthen competencies.
