Job summary

Prudential plc in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to oversee Partnership Distribution governance and regulatory adherence.

You will draft policies, monitor controls, and advise PD Management on initiatives, with a focus on risk parameters, reporting, and collaboration with regulators.

Qualifications

• A recognized Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law or related fields
• Min 5 years in insurance or financial services
• Experience in Internal Audit will be an added advantage

Responsibilities

• Act as the department’s reference point for compliance matters.
• Constantly reviewing existing business rules and activities to ensure compliance with requirements.
• In conjunction with the business, determine regulatory and compliance risk parameters for establishing and delivering an effective compliance monitoring program.
• Provide feedback to regulators/authorities in relation to concept papers, surveys etc.
• Prepare periodic and ad-hoc compliance reports.

The incumbent is responsible to oversee Partnership Distribution on governance processes and controls. He/she is required to manage new regulatory guidelines / regulations, draft compliance policies and procedures, assist in implementation of necessary controls to meet the compliance requirements and operational standard as well as to assist in establishment of policies and procedures. On top of that, he/she also to advise Partnership Distribution Management on governance processes & new initiatives involving PD functions.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

a. Qualifications

• A recognized Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law or related fields

b. Experience

• Min 5 years in insurance or financial services
• Experience in Internal Audit will be an added advantage

c. Knowledge

• Passionate with the work, possess initiative, resourceful, reliable and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Good with numbers, analytical thinking, meticulous, detailed oriented, high integrity, good ethics and team player.
• Excellent organizational, project management and time management skills, able to work under pressure and after office hours/weekends, if required.
• Good written and oral communication skills with all levels of management, staff and agency force.
• Enthusiastic team player, able to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholder
• Independent, well organized, focused and able to complete projects on time
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
