Job summary

TECAN CDMO Solutions PN SDN. BHD. is seeking a Manufacturing Manager to lead engineering operations in Malaysia. The role emphasizes design-for-manufacturing, QMS adherence, and continuous improvement across product quality and manufacturing processes.

Applicants should hold an engineering degree with 2+ years in engineering/R&D, knowledge of SAP, and strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills in a GMP/medical device context.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in mechanical, electrical or related field.
• Quality management experience and process improvement mindset.
• Minimum 2 years as engineer or R&D engineer.
• Experience in medical device development is preferred.
• Manufacturing know-how and SAP proficiency.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering expertise within development projects to ensure design for manufacturing and stable production processes
• Manage a project portfolio for continuous improvement projects on product quality, manufacturing process quality and value engineering
• Resource and budget planning
• Mentor and develop engineering personnel; provide continuous performance feedback and conduct all Engineering leadership (functional and directive)
• Problem solving on production processes, raw material and instruments to ensure delivery performance
• Leadership responsibility for Engineering department
• Demonstrate leadership and commitment to all aspects of QMS
• Secure availability of resources to ensure proper execution and implementation of Quality policy and its objectives
• Ensure integration of the QMS into the business processes of the organization

About you

Basic education in an engineering discipline such as mechanical engineering or equivalent

Quality Management skills

Average to advanced English and German language skills

Manufacturing know-how and SAP

High communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
