Job summary

TECAN CDMO Solutions Sdn. Bhd. in Malaysia is seeking an experienced BOM/ECM data specialist to manage BOM, item master and ECO data entry into the company MRP and related systems, ensuring data integrity and accurate documentation.

You will interpret customer BOMs, generate new BOMs, coordinate with cross-functional teams for engineering changes, liaise with customers on discrepancies, and support documentation releases using Harmony and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage BOM, item master and ECO data entry into MRP and supporting systems
• Interpret customer BOM and documents, generate new BOM and verify data entry accuracy
• Communicate with customer on BOM or engineering changes discrepancy and update in Manex and Harmony
• Facilitate and coordinate within cross functional teams for complex engineering change management
• Perform system setup and data validation into Manex and Harmony; maintain data integrity
• Support CFT in cross referencing customer BOM with in-house part numbers
• Manage release of documentation—specifications, drawings, customer BOMs, and technical updates, using Harmony
• Assist section manager on implementation of improvement activities and project assignments

Job description

Overall responsible Bill of Material (BOM), item master and Engineering Change Order (ECO) data entry and administration into company MRP and other supporting system. The engineering activities include BOM generation, component part number information maintenance, customer documentation / drawing release, change management documentation, and etc.

Responsible in interpreting customer BOM and documents, generate new BOM and verification to ensure accuracy of data entry.

Communicate directly with customer on BOM or engineering changes discrepancy pertaining to the BOM and engineering change update in Manex and Harmony system.

For senior position and above, he/she need to facilitate and coordinate within cross functional teams for complex engineering change management.

Perform system setup and data validation into Manex and Harmony system; and maintain data integrity.

Support CFT in cross referencing customer BOM with in-house part numbers.

Manage the release of documentation—such as specifications, drawings, customer BOMs, and technical updates, using the Harmony system

Assist section manager on implementation of improvement activities and project assign

Basic Education

Degree – no experience neededor Preferred diploma with 5 years of experience

Experience

Experience in manufacturing environment

Experience handling BOM, MRP system or engineering data

Experience in EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Services) industry
