Job summary

Bosch Power Tools in Penang, Malaysia, is seeking an experienced Logistics/PLM leader responsible for receiving, warehousing and shipping, inventory accuracy, and security. You will guide cross-functional teams and external partners to meet quality objectives and deadlines.

You will lead LOM performance, manage budgets, support Bosch Production System activities, and prepare management reports. Strong leadership, safety knowledge, and the ability to work independently are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in any discipline with related working experience.
• Minimum 10 years working experience in physical logistics in manufacturing environment is required.
• Knowledge of work safety and transporting hazardous materials is essential.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate to all levels of management, and cross functionally with business partners.
• Be flexible to take on ad-hoc assignment or project as necessary.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Meticulous, result oriented, motivated, resourceful, self-starter, ability to meet tight deadlines and work independently.

• Oversee physical logistics tasks of receiving, warehousing and shipping.
• Ensure inventory accuracy through physical counts and reconciliation.
• Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation.
• Manage overall LOM performance results with coaching, counseling, and disciplining associates, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
• Achieve financial objectives and prepare annual budget, expenditures, analyze variances and corrective actions.
• Lead and participate actively in Bosch Production System (BPS) related activities.
• Support and prepare management reporting as and when necessary.
• Any other duties assigned by the immediate superior from time to time.

Job description

1.1 Physical logistic tasks of receiving, warehouse and shipping.

1.2 Interact with cross functional team within Plant and Bosch.

1.3 Interact with external parties – Logistics Service Providers, Liners etc.

1.4 Ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency, with customer satisfaction being the primary goal, by supervising, organizing, directing, and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring, and managing operation goals.
