Job summary

NTT DATA Payment Services Sdn Bhd is seeking a Manager - Project Management to lead IT projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring solutions meet client needs and business goals. You will coordinate with architects, developers, analysts and testers to deliver on time, within budget and to high quality standards, while managing risks and changes.

Responsibilities include preparing SOWs, purchase orders, and status reporting, plus fostering strong client relationships and collaboration

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent.
• PMP or PMI-ACP certification is an added advantage.
• Minimum five years of relevant experience in Project Management, preferably IT.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive, independent work with minimal supervision.

• Develop accurate work estimates, budgets and timelines.
• Propose quality plans, risk management and change control for all assignments.
• Prepare and update product documentation; assist with ad-hoc tasks.

Job description

The Manager - Project Management will be responsible for planning, initiating and managing information technology projects. Incumbent must be able to direct the development and customization of advanced system technologies to meet our clients’ specific business needs. He or she needs to focus on serving as NTT DATA Payment Services liaison between business and technical aspects of IT projects and customer relationship.

Responsibilities

Responsible to lead the work of a team to achieve goals and meet success criteria at a specified time within the given constraints.

Management of one or more projects for our customers providing day‑to‑day leadership to analyse their product requirements, develop designs, and implement solutions.

Coordinate with test team and administer all processes and procedures and ensure compliance to all quality goals.

Initiate test cases and issues for management improvement projects and processes.

Manage presale and post‑sale merchants on integration specification, technical product requirement, issues, and merchant reporting management.

Prepare periodical project status reporting for management updates and daily tracking.

Working closely with architects, technical teams, functional analysts and testers to deliver project scope on time, on budget and with high quality deliverables.

Communicating effectively with clients regarding the project, technology and functionality.

Using experience to develop accurate work estimates, project budgets, and timelines.

Exercising required controls and proposing improvements as required, including quality plans, issues and action logs, risk management plans and change control plans, for all aspects of the assignment.

Responsible for Statement of Work preparation, purchase orders, price quotes and other contractual Obligation.

Demonstrates leadership skills in working with people and teams in a flexible, collaborative and resourceful manner with the ability to influence, to achieve project objectives.

Able to prepare and update product related documentation and management.

Assist in any ad ad‑hoc tasks as and when is assigned by immediate superior.

Requirements

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree, Postgraduate Diploma, Professional Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or an equivalent qualification.

Professional project management certification such as PMP or PMI-ACP would be an added advantage.

Minimum five (5) years of relevant working experience in Project Management, preferably within an IT environment.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Self‑motivated, proactive, resourceful, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as project management tools such as Microsoft Project.

Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, prioritise workloads, and meet deadlines.

Experience in merchant relationship management would be an added advantage.

Prior experience managing IT projects within the financial services industry is preferred.
