Job summary
NTT DATA SERVICES MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. in Kuala Lumpur seeks an Application Support Specialist for Unit Trust Applications. You will provide technical support for Java and Oracle DB, manage Windows/Unix environments and ensure production stability for Unit Trust platforms.
The role requires 3+ years of relevant experience, strong communication, and teamwork. Expect on-site work in KL/Cyberjaya with on-call rotation and vendor coordination.
Qualifications
- 3+ years working experience in application support or IT operations.
- Experience with Java, Oracle DB and WebSphere preferred.
- Familiarity with Windows/Unix scripting and cross-platform environments.
Responsibilities
- Provide Level 2 and 3 production support for Unit Trust applications.
- Investigate problems, identify root causes, define solutions and implement fixes.
- Work with users to understand needs and issues; manage risks and improvements.
- Coordinate with vendors on scope, progress and releases.

Requirements
- Application Technical Support on Java and Oracle Database.
- Platform Knowledge on windows, UNIX/Linux (Solaris) & WebSphere web deployments.
- Strong application knowledge Unit Trust origination and workflow systems.
- Hands-on experience on Windows and Unix scripting, MS-DOS working experience and support.
- Knowledge in Banking IT environment will be a plus.
- 24 x 7 on call support.
- Minimum 3 years of working experience in the same capacity.
- Pleasant personality with good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive and team player.
- Willing to work at Cyberjaya/ KL
- Able to work with cross border colleagues.
- Familiar withtools/practises such as Jira, Confluence, and Agile/Scrum Methodology
Roles/Responsibilities
- To provide system support and manage enhancement for Unit Trust application.
- Systems specializing in the Unit Trust Domain.
- Perform Level 2 and 3 of production support.
- To perform problem investigation – problem identification, root cause analysis, solution definition and implementation.
- To work closely with users to understand their needs & issues.
- To manage system risks and conjure improvements to mitigate and manage risks
- Liaise with vendor on the Scope of Work, enhancements progress and fix implementations.
