Job summary

ZUS COFFEE in Malaysia seeks a senior interior/retail designer to create innovative store concepts, mood boards, and design narratives aligned with the brand identity. You will oversee concept development through execution and coordinate with contractors and suppliers.

The role focuses on consistent design language across outlets, balancing creativity with feasibility, budget and operations, while collaborating with Brands, Retail Operations, Procurement and other stakeholders to deliver timely

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Industrial Design or related field.
• Min 6–10 years of relevant design experience in F&B, retail, hospitality or commercial projects.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating retail/commercial/spatial/branding design.
• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative, AutoCAD, SketchUp.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.

Position Responsibilities

• Develop creative concepts, mood boards, design narratives and visual directions for existing design, ad hoc projects or new themed store if required.
• Ensure design concepts are innovative, distinctive and aligned with ZUS COFFEE's brand identity.
• Review and guide design development from concept stage through to final execution.
• Ensure consistency of design language across different outlet formats and locations.
• Balance creativity with functionality, construction feasibility, budget and operational requirements.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and outsource designers.
• Work closely with Brands, Retail Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement and other stakeholders.
• Ensure timely completion of design projects.
• Review shop drawings, material samples, mock-ups, prototypes and site implementation where required.
• Identify new materials, finishes, fabrication techniques and design technologies that can enhance ZUS COFFEE outlets.

Qualifications and Requirements
