Job summary

Public Bank Berhad is seeking an Industrial Relations Manager to maintain a harmonious work environment and oversee employee relations. You will resolve grievances, assess workplace issues, and implement fair, compliant policies while leading a high-performance IR team in a dynamic banking setting.

The role requires a recognised degree and at least 10 years of industrial relations experience, with strong knowledge of labour laws and collective bargaining.

We are seeking an Industrial Relations (IR) Manager to manage and provide the necessary support and infrastructure to facilitate a conducive and harmonious working environment. In this role, you will lead our employee relations, ensuring fair practices, resolving complex disputes and inculcating a positive, ethical and compliant work environment.

What You’ll Do?

Act to resolve all grievances and industrial disputes at the most amicable level

Assess workplace issues and implement fair solutions

Address staff misconduct / disciplinary issues as well as to initiate appropriate actions against delinquent staff

Craft fair and legally compliant workplace policies

What We're Looking For?

A recognised Degree

Results-driven IR Practitioner with at least 10 years of experience in industrial relations

Strong understanding of labour laws, employment contracts, dispute resolution mechanisms and disciplinary procedures

Ability to negotiate with trade unions and oversee the implementation of collective agreements

Proficiency in written and spoken English is essential

Possess strong interpersonal and collaborative skills to establish strong relationships with key stakeholders

Proven track record of managing and leading a high-performance team in a fast-paced environment
