Job summary

JD Sports SEA in Malaysia is seeking a senior FP&A leader to provide financial insights and analysis across SEA markets, including Malaysia, Thailand, and Singapore. You will drive forecasting, budgeting, and management reporting to inform strategic decisions in a fast-paced, international retail business.

Reporting to the CFO, you will coordinate forecasts, analyse variance, collaborate across departments to improve performance, and present actionable recommendations to senior management.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in financial planning, forecasting, and analysis in fast-paced international or regional retail.
• Strong modelling and budgeting skills with ability to interpret complex data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to Management.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coordinate and control all financial forecasts and budgets.
• Analyze forecast vs. actual variance to improve forecast accuracy.
• Collaborate with departments to optimise performance and cost management.
• Perform financial and non-financial analysis to identify improvement opportunities.
• Present results or recommendations to senior management.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this role is primarily responsible for providing financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making across the Southeast Asia (SEA) markets, including Malaysia, Thailand, and Singapore. The role plays a key part in monitoring financial performance against targets, identifying business opportunities, and driving financial planning and analysis initiatives in a fast-paced, dynamic, and international business environment.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for leading, coordination and control of all financial forecasts and budgets
• Understand the reasons behind forecast vs. actual variance to continuously improve forecast accuracy
• Collaborate with various departments to optimise performance and cost management
• Perform financial and non financial analysis to identify improvement opportunities
• Present and communicate results or recommendations to senior management
• Understand sales strategy and how variables such as historical performance, seasonality, promotions, and macro-economic factors affect current business
• Provide ad hoc business analysis for management

Requirements:

• Degree in business, finance, accounting or related field
• 10+ years working experience in fast paced international or regional retail companies
• Strong analytical and financial modelling skills to interpret complex data
• Strong communication (verbal and written) with the ability to present data and insights in a clear, concise manner to Management
