Job summary

iNova Pharmaceuticals in Malaysia seeks a Senior FP&A Analyst to provide financial planning, analysis, reporting and decision support for the Malaysia business. You will partner with the SG/MY Cluster Country Head and leadership team to drive planning, forecasting and governance, delivering clear insights and actionable recommendations.

You will lead budgeting cycles, coordinate cross-functional inputs, perform variance analysis, and support regional reporting while upholding governance and data

Qualifications

• 5 to 7 years of relevant finance experience, including FP&A, management reporting or forecasting.
• Strong Excel and ERP/BI tool experience with ability to explain financial performance to non-finance stakeholders.

Position Purpose:

The Senior FP&A Analyst, Malaysia provides financial planning, analysis, reporting and decision support for the Malaysia business.

The role partners with the SG/MY Cluster Country Head, Malaysia leadership team and SG/MY Cluster FP&A Manager to support business planning, forecasting, performance reporting, commercial analysis and financial governance. The role is expected to provide clear financial insights, highlight risks and opportunities, and support disciplined business decision-making.

Key Accountabilities & Performance Indicators:

Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting

• Lead Malaysia inputs for annual Budget, and monthly forecast cycles.


• Work with commercial and cross-functional teams to validate assumptions, risks and opportunities.

Management Reporting and Performance Analysis

• Prepare monthly performance reporting, variance analysis and commentary for Malaysia.


• Support cluster and regional reporting requirements relating to Malaysia.

Business Performance Analysis and Decision Support

• Provide business performance analysis, including revenue, gross margin, operating expenses, gross-to-net, customer/channel trends and key P&L drivers.


• Support financial modelling and scenario analysis to assess business risks, opportunities and management actions.

Financial Governance, Controls and Process Improvement

• Support financial governance, internal control discipline and compliance with company policies.


• Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency, data quality and planning processes.

Key Working Relationships:

Internal:

SG/MY Cluster FP&A Manager, SG/MY Cluster Country Head, Malaysia Leadership Team, Malaysia Finance Team, Commercial, Supply Chain, Controlling, Tax and Treasury, Asia Finance Team as required

External:

Distributor, External auditors, tax consultants, customers, vendors, customs brokers and banking partners

Qualifications:

• Degree Holder in Business Administration, major in Finance/Accounting is preferable

Skills & Experience:

• 5 to 7 years' relevant finance experience, including at least 3 years in FP&A, management reporting, forecasting or business partnering.


• Strong financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and management reporting capability.


• Experience in business performance analysis, gross-to-net, trade spend, P&L analysis or management reporting would be an advantage.


• Advanced Excel capability; experience with ERP, planning or BI tools such as SAP, TM1, Power BI or similar systems preferred.


• Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to explain financial performance and business drivers clearly to non-finance stakeholders.


• Malaysia market experience in FMCG, consumer healthcare or pharmaceuticals preferred; exposure to multi-market or regional FP&A environments would be an advantage.
