Job summary

Northport (Malaysia) Bhd is seeking a Change Management and Continuous Improvement leader to drive end-to-end process enhancements across divisions in Port Klang.

You will map workflows, lead Kaizen sessions, develop SOPs, monitor benefit realization, and support audit readiness. Requires degree in related discipline and 8+ years in process improvement with 3–5 years in supervisory roles; Lean/Kaizen/Six Sigma certs are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Requires degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering or related discipline.
• Professional certification in Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma, Change Management, Continuous Improvement methodologies or equivalent.
• Experience/exposure to ISO standards, Kaizen, Lean Management, PDCA or Value Stream/Process Mapping.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement detailed Change Management and CI plans across divisions aligned with transformation priorities.
• Map, analyse, and review end-to-end workflows to identify gaps, bottlenecks, and cycle-time reduction opportunities.
• Facilitate Kaizen workshops and cross-functional problem-solving sessions using structured methodologies (VSM, 5 Why, Fishbone, PDCA).
• Lead and coordinate division-level improvement initiatives, ensuring timely execution, stakeholder alignment, and target outcomes.
• Track improvement initiatives, cost savings, productivity gains, and turnaround time improvements; report progress to Management.
• Develop, standardize, and maintain SOPs, templates, process documentation, and control checklists.
• Maintain a central improvement register and dashboard to monitor project status, risk, and impact.
• Support audit readiness by strengthening process standardization and compliance controls.
• Conduct post-implementation reviews to validate effectiveness and sustainability.
• Provide regular performance updates and data insights to Management for informed decisions.

Job description

• Minimum - Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in process improvement, operations, quality, project coordination with 3 – 5 years of experience in supervisory / team management roles.

Added Advantage Factors

• Professional certification in Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma, Change Management, Continuous Improvement methodologies or equivalent.
• Experience in ISO standards, Kaizen, Lean Management, PDCA or Value Stream / Process Mapping
• Exposure to port, logistics, industrial, or operational technology environments.

Salary Information

• Between RM9,500 to RM14,000 depending on candidate qualification, experience and added advantage factors.

• Facilitate Kaizen workshops and cross-functional problem-solving sessions using structured methodologies (VSM, 5 Why, Fishbone, PDCA, Etc.).
• Lead and coordinate division-level improvement initiatives, ensuring timely execution, stakeholder alignment, and achievement of targeted outcomes.
• Track improvement initiatives, benefit realization (cost savings, productivity gains), and turnaround time improvements, and report progress to Management.
• Develop, standardize, and maintain SOPs, templates, process documentation, and control checklists to ensure consistency and reduce dependency on individuals.
• Maintain a central improvement register and consolidated progress dashboard to monitor project status, risk, and performance impact.
• Support audit readiness by strengthening process standardization, documentation quality, and compliance controls.
• Conduct post-implementation reviews to validate effectiveness, sustainability, and control mechanisms.
