Job summary

DKSH is seeking a Manager Business Applications to lead operational performance and modernization of enterprise applications across multiple business units in Kuala Lumpur. The role requires extensive experience in application support and IT operations, with a focus on SAP-integrated platforms and strong governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computing, Information Technology, or equivalent.
• 10 to 15 years in application support, IT operations, or related fields.
• Experience managing teams, vendors, and multi-application environments.
• Background in enterprise systems such as A&P, SRM, S2C, AP, ECM, or SAP-integrated platforms is an advantage.
• Experience with IT controls, audit processes, and security governance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of supported enterprise applications across A&P, AP, SRM, S2C, ECM, RE.
• Ensure timely incident resolution and minimize operational disruption.
• Manage end-to-end user access, configurations, and data updates.
• Maintain audit readiness with documentation and IT controls governance.
• Coordinate with vendors on enhancements, upgrades, and SLA performance.
• Develop SOPs, support documentation, and knowledge resources.

About the Role

As Manager, Group Business Applications, you lead the operational performance, modernization, and continuous improvement of enterprise applications that power critical business functions across DKSH. Your leadership ensures high application availability, effective vendor partnerships, and seamless service delivery that enables Business Units and supporting functions to operate with efficiency and confidence.

What You Will Deliver

• Oversee the daily operations of supported enterprise applications including Advertising and Promotions (A&P), Accounts Payable (AP), Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), Source to Contract (S2C), Enterprise Content Management (ECM), and Retail Execution (RE), ensuring systems perform reliably and consistently meet business expectations.
• Ensure timely resolution of incidents, integration failures, and workflow exceptions to minimize operational disruption and maintain business continuity.
• Manage end-to-end user access, system configurations, and data updates to keep systems accurate, secure, and aligned to business needs.
• Maintain strong audit readiness through robust documentation, compliance adherence, and effective IT controls governance across all supported applications.
• Coordinate with vendors on system enhancements, upgrades, complex issue resolution, and Service Level Agreement (SLA) performance to maximize the value of vendor partnerships.
• Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), support documentation, and knowledge resources that strengthen business continuity and build team capability.
• Set clear direction and cascade team and function goals to ensure objectives are well-defined, understood, and consistently pursued across the team.
• Drive the learning and development of team members in IT project management and DKSH behaviors, building capability that supports both individual growth and overall function performance.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and cultivate a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence across teams and business partners.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for high-impact incidents and vendor issues, providing decisive and composed leadership when it matters most.
• Drive self-learning and continuous improvement in IT operations and support practices as an ongoing professional commitment.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Computing, Information Technology, or equivalent.
• 10 to 15 years of experience in application support, IT operations, application management, or related fields, including 5 to 7 years of experience as a technology and functional analyst within an end-user environment.
• Demonstrated experience managing teams, vendors, and multi-application environments across complex organizational structures.
• Background in enterprise systems such as A&P, SRM, S2C, AP, ECM, or SAP-integrated platforms is an advantage.
• Demonstrated experience across various technology stacks and programming languages as part of managing development cycles internally or with vendors.
• Hands‑on experience with key business processes including A&P, AP, SRM, S2C, ECM, and RE, with working knowledge of SAP-integrated solutions being important.
• Familiarity with enterprise content management, document lifecycle management, and archiving compliance requirements.
• Ability to troubleshoot system integrations, workflows, data interfaces, and user issues effectively and independently.
• Knowledge of IT controls, Segregation of Duties (SoD) requirements, audit processes, and security governance frameworks.
• Vendor management experience including SLA governance, contract coordination, and technology roadmap planning.
