Hong Leong Bank in Malaysia seeks a Manager/Assistant Manager for Business & Corporate Banking focusing on ESG & Sustainability to develop policies, frameworks and procedures and to review ongoing programs. You will coordinate with various lines of business to drive sustainable finance growth and contribute to ESG initiatives across the organization.

The role requires leadership in ESG topic implementation, governance improvements, and rolling out capacity-building and stakeholder engagement

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Finance / Economics / Commerce / Engineering, Environmental Management.
• GRI certification and/or knowledge of TCFD is advantageous.
• Experience in ESG, energy transition, circular economy or sustainable strategy is a strong plus.
• Strong command of written and spoken English.

Overview

The Manager / Assistant Manager - Business & Corporate Banking (ESG & Sustainability) responsible for developing and overseeing Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) policies, frameworks and procedures, as well as reviewing and appraising established ones as, and when necessary, within Business Corporate Banking (BCB). Job Responsibilities: Formulate recommendations and requirements for customer action while incorporating into applicable internal and customer related documentation in BCB. Coordinate with lines of business and functions to drive business growth in sustainable finance-unlocking the potential in businesses via ESG led initiatives; mitigate sustainability risk, and provide internal and external thought leadership in ESG and sustainability. Drive the implementation of different sustainability topics, ensure implementation of policies and deliver on targets. Develop and rollout sustainability events such as capacity building programs and stakeholder engagement programs as part of the team's broader marketing efforts. Be the driver for simplification, standardization and automation of business processes (ESG related) to improve costs savings, operational controls and performance of assets.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Finance / Economics / Commerce / Engineering, Environmental Management or relevant field. Certification in GRI and/or knowledge in TCFD would be advantageous. Experience in sustainability topics such as energy transition, circular economy, ESG, and sustainable strategy is a strong plus. Strong command of written and spoken English.
