Oversee full set of accounts including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Lead and oversee the overall accounting and finance function across a portfolio of subsidiary and joint venture (JV) entities.
Manage monthly closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of financial records.
Review and verify payment vouchers, journal entries, and supporting documents in compliance with internal controls and company policies.
Perform and supervise bank reconciliations and ensure all balances are properly supported.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including tax filings, audit schedules, and regulatory submissions.
Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, and other regulatory bodies on accounting and compliance matters.
Maintain and enforce proper accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Monitor cash flow and ensure proper fund management for daily operations.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy of accounting operations.
Supervise and guide accounts & finance team members, including reviewing work and providing on-the-job guidance/training.
Handle ad-hoc assignments and financial tasks as assigned by management.
Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent is preferred.
Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience in accounting and finance.
Exposure to construction or property development industries is an added advantage.
Strong knowledge of full set accounting, financial closing, and statutory compliance.
Hands-on experience in managing day-to-day accounting operations.
High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.
