Job summary

Asia Meranti Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Utility-Scale Solar Development Project Manager to lead planning, development, execution and delivery of large-scale solar PV projects in Malaysia. You will oversee land identification, approvals, engineering coordination, grid interconnection, commissioning and handover.

The role requires strong technical understanding, stakeholder management, and execution discipline across regulatory, consultants, EPC coordination, landowners and government

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Project Management, Construction Management or related.
• Professional certifications such as PMP, PE, or equivalent are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead utility-scale solar PV projects from greenfield development to commercial operation date (COD).
• Develop and maintain overall project schedules, budgets, risk registers, and reporting frameworks.
• Coordinate project feasibility studies, yield assessments, technical due diligence, and financial modelling inputs.
• Manage project milestones to ensure compliance with timelines, financing conditions, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor project performance against budget, timeline, and quality targets.
• Coordinate with landowners, authorities, consultants, utilities, and EPC contractors to secure approvals and permits.
• Prepare project reports, management updates, and board presentation materials.
