Job summary

AIG Malaysia Insurance Berhad is seeking a Head of IT to define technology direction and lead Malaysia's IT strategy. You will oversee design, implementation, and operations, including vendor and COE management, and align with Asia Pacific and global initiatives.

You will work with the CEO and executive team to deliver systems meeting business objectives, maintain BAU services, and drive changes with strong governance, auditing, and collaboration across stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Thorough understanding of the Malaysia General Insurance industry (Direct, FI, Broker) and regulatory context.
• Strong technical and functional knowledge of systems and technology.
• Experience leading Technology teams to maintain business as usual services.
• Proven ability to develop, manage and secure buy-in for technology strategies and initiatives.
• Proven ability to build strong relationships with internal customers and auditors.

Responsibilities

• Develop the strategy and set technology direction for AIG Malaysia.
• Lead the design, implementation, and operational support of Technology including management of third‑party vendors and COEs.
• Provide leadership to the Malaysia Technology Teams in Strategic, Operational, Project and Production Support.
• Collaborate with the CEO and Malaysia Executive Team to deliver systems meeting Profit and Service objectives.
• Ensure integrity of applications and systems via Change Control and compliance standards.
• Align Malaysia technology strategy with Asia Pacific and global initiatives; share best practices.
• Build strong relationships with Business & Service stakeholders to meet service standards.
• Lead Technology by communicating a clear vision and managing staff performance.
