Job summary

Eaton is hiring a Country Manager in Malaysia to lead the operation and expansion of its power distribution and power quality businesses in the Malaysia market. The role focuses on implementing the go-to-market strategy, driving key customer relationships, and steering channel engagement to achieve sales, profit and market share goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration or marketing.
• Minimum of 10 years of field sales or product marketing/manufacturing experience.
• Management or supervisory experience required.
• Strong negotiation and market knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• Drive country sales strategy for power distribution and power quality products and solutions.
• Hire, onboard, train and motivate direct reports to accomplish specific sales objectives.
• Responsible for key customer relationships, key job negotiations, and commercial issues to maximize customer affinity.
• Promote channel programs, association networking and lead process to maximize the pipeline for growth and return on sales.
• Support pricing/positioning strategy and input to centralized price team to improve opportunity hit rate.
• Coordinate tendering process leveraging centralized bidding team to meet local customer expectations.
• Develop localized sales tools and marketing materials for the Malaysia market.
• Master Eaton’s PD and PQ business and build local expertise to support customer requirements.
• Plan and lead in-country activities including strategic planning, profit planning and organizational capability.
• Identify and develop short to long-term business strategies.
• Direct resources and develop business opportunities.
• Represent the organization in relations with customers and communities.
• Support QMS requirements and drive continuous improvement.
