Job summary

JDE Peet’s in Malaysia is seeking a Maintenance Technician (Utility) to perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on plant utility and firefighting systems, ensuring safe, reliable operations aligned with GMP, HACCP, and regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing, hands-on work with pumps, valves, piping, and firefighting systems, and knowledge of TPM/MOS concepts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Hands-on experience with utility systems, pumps, valves, piping, or firefighting systems.
• Experience with preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and corrective maintenance.
• Experience in FMCG, food, beverage, or process manufacturing is a plus.
• Familiarity with TPM, MOS, Autonomous Maintenance, HACCP, and GMP requirements.
• Ability to read technical drawings and maintenance procedures.
• Basic computer literacy for maintenance reporting and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance to ensure the reliability of plant utility, mechanical, and facility equipment.
• Conduct inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, servicing, testing, and replacement of components as required.
• Monitor equipment performance, identify potential failures, and implement corrective actions to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Support plant start-up, shutdown, commissioning, and maintenance activities.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment history, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with external service providers and contractors for inspection, servicing, and corrective maintenance activities.
