Job summary
Bosch in Penang, Bayan Lepas is seeking an onsite Maintenance Technician to support daily maintenance operations for production equipment. The role emphasizes preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, PLC and automation systems, and contributing to TPM and safety practices.
The ideal candidate has a Diploma/Certificate in Electrical Engineering or related fields with hands‑on experience in machinery repair, electrical diagrams, and a strong safety
Qualifications
- Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, Industrial Electrical or related field.
- Strong hands‑on capability in mechanical, electrical, PLC, and automation troubleshooting.
- Experience with TPM, preventive/corrective maintenance, and downtime reduction.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production machines and jigs/fixtures.
- Identify causes of equipment breakdowns and support root‑cause analysis.
- Collaborate with Production teams to minimize downtime.
- Support maintenance improvement activities and TPM initiatives.
- Troubleshoot PLC‑controlled machines, HMI, sensors, actuators, servo drives and VFDs.
- Read electrical drawings and pneumatic/hydraulic diagrams; update maintenance records.
- Provide guidance to junior technicians and follow safety procedures including LOTO.
