Job summary

HID Global in Kulai, Malaysia seeks a Maintenance Technician II to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production equipment in a manufacturing setting. You will support safety, preventive maintenance and productivity targets, reporting to the Maintenance Engineer.

The role requires a diploma or vocational certificate inMechanical/Mechatronic/Manufacturing Engineering, 2–3 years in maintenance, and knowledge of preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Vocational Certificate in Mechanical / Mechatronic / Manufacturing Engineering.
• 2–3 years’ experience in Maintenance department of a manufacturing organization.
• Fresh entry applicants are welcome to apply.
• Knowledge of Preventive Maintenance on Mechanical, Pneumatic and Electronic components.
• Experience with PLC, CMMS & OEE tools is advantageous.
• Willingness to work long hours to minimize production disruption.

Responsibilities

• Report to Maintenance Engineer.
• Keep Maintenance Engineer informed of progress and machine condition.
• Ensure machines operate effectively and efficiently.
• Respond to machine breakdowns promptly.
• Set up and convert machines per product/process requirements.
• Collaborate with Engineering to develop new models or products.
• Collaborate with QA and Production to achieve On-Time Delivery and improve yield.
• Perform daily machine troubleshooting for quality and productivity.
• Schedule and perform Machine Preventive Maintenance.
• Update records (Daily PM, Downtime, CMMS, ISO documentation).
• Carry out duties as assigned by Maintenance Engineer.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and comply with environmental controls.
