Job summary

Purem Aapico Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a maintenance engineer to track new device installation and oversee commissioning, as well as supervise the operation status of production equipment.

The role requires hands-on electrical and mechanical maintenance, strong problem-solving, and the ability to work in shifts; experience with AutoCAD, PLC, and automation is a plus; strong teamwork and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Certificate/Diploma in mechanical, electrical, or automation fields.
• At least 2 years in automotive components manufacturing, experience in exhaust system industry a plus.
• Basic knowledge in electrical and mechanical maintenance.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and reading mechanical/electrical drawings.
• Strong problem analysis skills; able to handle irregular overtime.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Experience in robot welding, PLC, and machine automation.
• Proficient with Office software.

Job description

Track new device installation and debugging. Complete the evaluation and acceptance of the new equipment.

Complete the introduction and acceptance of new project equipment, tooling and other assets.

Track and supervise the operation status of production equipment.

Responsible for emergency repair, maintenance, and periodic maintenance of equipment. Reduce equipment failure rate and ensure normal operation of equipment.

Analyze the root cause of equipment failures and develop improvement plans and execute them.

Continuously optimize equipment functions and improve equipment operational efficiency.

Participate in the implementation of TPM (AM) related work.

Implement corresponding work according to departmental action plans.

Complete the corresponding tasks temporarily arranged by the department manager.

Requirement ProfileProfessional Background / Basic Qualification / Work Experience:

Certificate/Diploma in mechanical, electrical, or automation related fields.

At least 2 years related working experience in automotive components manufacturing industry, experience in exhaust system industry will be a plus.

Have basic knowledge in electrical and mechanical maintenance.

Proficient in using drawing software such as AutoCAD and can understand mechanical and electrical drawings.

Strong learning and practical skills.

Master strong problem analysis skills and be able to adapt to irregular overtime needs.

Have certain communication and coordination skills.

Have some experience in robot welding, PLC and machine automation.

Proficient in using the Office series software.
