Job summary

Scania Nederland B.V. in Kuala Lumpur seeks a Heavy Vehicle Technician with equivalent experience or qualification. You will install, maintain, or repair systems and support customers with technical knowledge in a customer-facing role.

You will handle pre- and post-maintenance tasks, ensure parts/tools are ready, perform safe repairs, and document handovers for smooth invoicing and planning of next jobs.

• Experience with spare parts handling and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Before Maintenance or Repair Event: secure information/tools/spare parts, read work order, start and plan the task.
• During Maintenance or Repair Event: perform maintenance on time, inspect, secure parts, complete work, and clean area.
• After Maintenance or Repair Event: document work, hand over and plan next job; inform about additional faults.

Job description

Installs, maintains, or repairs items or products ordered and supports customers through specialized technical or scientific knowledge/product applications in a customer's home or place of business. Maintains an ongoing relationship with selected customers and sales staff, particularly those focused on technical applications of the product or service. Uses technical knowledge of products, product availability, sales territories, and individual customers to provide a key communications link to the customer. May handle multiple product markets. Typically requires relevant experience, completion of technical product training, and demonstration of high-level product and process knowledge of a technical nature.

Job Responsibilities

Professional Competencies (Duties and Tasks)

1. Before Maintenance or Repair Event

   Secure that right information, tools and spare parts are available

   Read and understand work order

   Start up work order

   Collect additional information

   Secure access to right tools

   Pick up spare parts

2. During Maintenance or Repair Event

   Through well-known and described working methods and standards perform maintenance or repair on time in a correct and safe way

   Complete visual inspections

   Search for additional information in systems

   Secure spare parts for additional jobs

   Perform maintenance or repair on vehicle/component

   Return not used spare parts

   Return special tools

   Clean work area

   Restore vehicle to handed-in condition

   Inform Foreman/Service Advisor about additional faults or findings

3. After Maintenance or Repair Event

   Secure minimized lead time of invoicing. Through clear description of performed work and/or communicated what needs to be done if the work is handed over to a colleague

   Clarify performed work in work order and put signature

   End work order

   Complete handover

   Secure planning of next job

Heavy vehicle technician, equivalent experience or qualification.

Driving License, and heavy vehicle license will be an added advantage.

Experience in a commercial vehicle (kenderaan perdagangan) setup will be an added advantage.
