Job summary

Jobvite, Inc. seeks a Maintenance Technician to set up, maintain, test, adjust and support manufacturing machinery and processes, including dies and molds. You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot a wide range of tooling and production equipment, and assist with tooling assembly and upgrades.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in a technical environment, basic machinist skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. CPR/First Aid/AED training and MS Office proficiency are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in a technical or manufacturing environment.
• Must have 20/40 correctable vision.
• Experience as maintenance or equipment technician.
• Electrical experience including proximity sensors, servo motors, production cameras, PLCs is a plus.
• Tool and machine background including basic machinist skills, die mechanics and bench work, soldering is a plus.
• Familiar with MS Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work independently.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist.
• Willing to adhere to safety rules and wear protective gear when required.
• CPR/First Aid/AED training.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate PM tasks with manufacturing to minimize downtime while maintaining 90% OTD.
• Support Maintenance Supervisor or Engineering on equipment upgrade projects.
• Occasionally perform light machining and basic electrical repairs.
• Use Solution Center Tools Level 1 to report issues unresolved on the floor.
• Assemble and debug new tooling; troubleshoot tooling.
• Order and maintain purchased tooling and replacement tools.

Job description

Responsible for setup, maintaining, testing, adjusting, and supporting manufacturing machinery and machinery processes, which could include dies and molds. Will provide preventative maintenance on any problematic manufacturing issues and process equipment if necessary, as well as troubleshoot on a wide spectrum of tooling and production equipment

Essential Functions/ Responsibilities.

• Coordinate assigned PM tasks with manufacturing to minimize machine downtime while maintaining a minimum of 90% OTD.
• Support Maintenance Supervisor or Engineering on projects related to equipment and/or equipment upgrades.
• Occasionally perform light machining and basic electrical controls repairs.
• Utilize Solution Center Tools Level 1 to communicate manufacturing issues that cannot be resolved on the production floor.
• Assemble and debug new tooling.
• Troubleshoot and maintain current tooling.
• Order and maintain purchased tooling, replacement tools and additional capacity

Required Experience:

• 3-5 Years’ Experience in a Technical or Manufacturing environment.
• Must have 20/40 correctable vision.
• Experience as maintenance or equipment technician.
• Electrical experience including, but not limited to, proximity sensors, servo motors, production cameras, programming and troubleshooting PLC’s is a plus.
• Tool and Machine background including experience in basic machinist skills, general die mechanics and bench work, and soldering, is a plus.
• Familiar with MS Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks and work independently.
• Must be able to sit/stand for at least 90 consecutive minutes, and not suffer from any sensory deprivation and/or paralysis of the limbs.

Preferred Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2-Year or 4-Year Electrical or Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering/Technical Degree is preferred.
