Job summary

Alcon Laboratories Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a Technician II in Repair & Maintenance Engineering to plan, design, and implement maintenance programs for facilities and equipment. You will build strong relationships with production staff and ensure adherence to procedures during maintenance activities.

Key duties include executing PM activities to minimize downtime, documenting properly, and supporting production with 24/7 coverage.

Qualifications

2 years of Mechanical/Electrical technician experience required.
Open for Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering fresh graduates.
Good to have machine troubleshooting experience.
Able to read analytical diagram.
Open to work 12 hour rotational shift.

Responsibilities

Execute preventive maintenance activities to minimize downtime on finishing production equipment and related systems.
Ensure SOPs and forms are used for planned activities with proper documentation.
Maintain PM records and provide 24/7 support to production.
Monitor spare parts and coordinate with spare parts room.
Assist Engineers in cost reduction and efficiency improvements for PM and machine repairs.
Participate in new machine installation and validation programs.
Support Engineers with documentation and job execution.
Promote cross-shift communication and smooth handovers.
Investigate process/quality failures and implement permanent solutions.
Support new project initiatives as project lead, support, or executor.
