Job summary

TE Connectivity Corporation in Malaysia seeks a hands-on maintenance technician to assist in maintenance services and repairs at facilities and on manufacturing machinery.

You will set up machines, monitor performance, perform basic preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with tool room and maintenance for repairs. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; a high school diploma or equivalent is required, with electronics background preferred.

Qualifications

• High school, Diploma or equivalent required; an Associate’s Degree in Electronics is preferred.
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience operating manufacturing equipment including injection molding machines, punch presses, slide machines, or assembly equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set up all assigned machines and monitor machine performance.
• Monitor machinery performance and perform basic preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Troubleshoot machines, monitor results and make modifications as needed.
• Coordinate with tool room for setups, maintenance and repairs.
• Provide effective communication to all levels regarding quality, mechanical and/or mold problems.
• Observe all safety and housekeeping procedures and perform other duties as assigned.

Job Overview

Assists in maintenance services and repairs at facilities and on manufacturing machinery for assigned area(s).

Job Requirements

• Set up all assigned machines.
• Monitor machinery performance and basic preventive maintenance on equipment
• Trouble shoot machines, monitor results and make modifications as needed.
• Request set ups and maintenance through the tool room.
• Request repairs on machinery from the maintenance department
• Coordinate installations with area lead person, material handler and tool room.
• Set up all assigned machines and monitor machine performance.
• Shut a machine down if safety, quality of parts, or any concerns arise from the operator--it must be reported to the supervisor immediately.
• Completion of all paper work pertaining to department requirements.
• Provide effective communication to all levels of personnel regarding quality, mechanical and/or mold problems.
• Check and measure in-process parts.
• Write labor tickets and production reports.
• Assist operators and departmental personnel to meet job requirements.
• Observe all company rules and procedures including housekeeping, quality of work and safety.
• Perform other duties as assigned or necessary to meet business conditions or changes.
• Adheres to quality and safety systems or maintenance of quality and safety standards.

What your background should look like

• High school, Diploma or equivalent required,an Associate’s Degree in Electronics is preferred.
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience operating manufacturing equipment, including injection molding machines, punch presses, slide machines, or assembly equipment.
• Mechanical / Mechatronics engineering background preferred
• Must be able toprovide and maintain personal tools required for the role.
• Strongmechanical aptitude with the ability to work effectively with machinery and equipment.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Good or corrected vision required to perform quality inspections and ensure accuracy of work.
