Job summary

Aalborg Portland Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a Maintenance Inspector to support the Reliability Department in Ipoh. You will perform periodic plant inspections, prepare reports, and utilize SAP for notifications and PM orders, with a focus on accurate measurements and alignment tasks.

The role requires a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering background, good communication and teamwork, and basic English. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply and training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

• Knowledge of measuring tools is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Carry out periodic inspections independently for plant equipment using existing procedures and checklists.
• Carry out equipment stop inspections.
• Prepare inspection reports.
• Use SAP to create notifications and PM Orders.
• Draw simple sketches of parts with dimensions and tolerances.
• Use precision measuring instruments for equipment dimensions (vernier caliper, dial caliper, digital caliper, micrometer and dial gauge).
• Collect vibration data for equipment according to schedule.
• Carry out motor laser alignment.
• Carry out pulley or sprocket alignment using a laser alignment tool.
• Carry out V-belt or timing belt tensioning using a tension gauge or frequency tensioning tool.

Job description

The Maintenance Inspector is required to attend to all maintenance inspection and reporting processes within the Reliability Department.

In this role, you will gain exposure to advanced reliability techniques, including:

Vibration Monitoring

Laser Alignment

Ultrasonic Thickness Measurement

Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)

Temperature and Flow Measurement

Key responsibilities

Carry out periodic inspections independently for plant equipment using existing procedures and checklists.

Carry out equipment stop inspections.

About you
