Job summary

Seagate International Headquarters Pte. Ltd. in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to plan, implement, and improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs within a high-volume manufacturing environment.

You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automation equipment while leading RCA investigations. You will monitor key metrics such as downtime, MTBF, MTTR, and OEE, and drive corrective actions to boost reliability, productivity and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 2–4 years of equipment maintenance engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience in high-volume manufacturing, precision machining, or HDD-related processes.
• Ability to analyze data and implement process improvements.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automation equipment.
• Lead equipment breakdown investigations and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions to eliminate recurring failures.
• Monitor downtime, MTBF, MTTR, and OEE.
• Identify improvements to enhance reliability, productivity, quality, and safety.
• Strengthen EHS compliance and audit readiness.
• Provide technical EHS support to Engineering and Operations teams.
• Support new equipment installation, commissioning, qualification, and production ramp-up.
• Manage equipment spare parts and coordinate with vendors, contractors, and suppliers.
