Job summary

Vishay Semiconductor Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a CIM Engineer to model operations in MES and support automation across multiple IT landscapes in Krubong, Melaka, Malaysia. The role involves integrating MES with external contractors and driving continuous process improvements in a multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate has an engineering degree, strong English communication, and at least 5 years in semiconductor production automation with MES and SQL experience.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering (required).
• Good communication skills in English (oral and written).
• Knowledgeable in discrete production and production automation or MES, preferably with at least 5 years in semiconductor industry.
• Familiar with MES and Database SQL.
• Knowledgeable in CAD/CAM integration, Shop‑Floor Control, Enterprise & Business Systems, Database & Communication Networks.

Responsibilities

• Model operations in Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
• Support automation and integration of tools (MPA) with external contractors.
• Assist in integrating MES into diverse IT landscapes.
• Continuously improve manufacturing processes in multidisciplinary teams.
• Collaborate with CIM engineers and key users across the network.
• Plan processes: map manufacturing routes and material requirements.
• Connect CNC machines, PLCs, and industrial robots to central databases.
• Monitor real‑time sensors to spot issues, adjust outputs, and reduce downtime.
• Schedule and oversee preventive maintenance software to keep automated hardware running smoothly.

Job Location

Krubong, Melaka, Malaysia. This position will be located at Krubong, Melaka in a vibrant industrial area. You will experience different exciting local cultures in this historical state.

What You Will Be Doing

• Modelling of operations in Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
• Support automation and integration of tools (MPA) with external contractors.
• Supporting the integration of the MES into the various IT landscapes.
• Continuously improving the manufacturing processes in multidisciplinary teams
• Working in a network with other divisional CIM engineers and key users.
• Process planning: Use computer systems to map out step‑by‑step manufacturing routes and material requirements.
• Equipment integration: Connect CNC machines, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and industrial robots to central databases.
• Process monitoring: Track real‑time feedback sensors to spot errors, adjust outputs, and reduce machine downtime.
• System maintenance: Schedule and oversee preventive maintenance software to keep automated hardware running smoothly.

What You Will Bring Along

• Degree in Engineering course.
• Good communication skills in English both oral and written.
• Knowledgeable in discrete production and production automation or MES, preferably with at least 5 years of experience in semiconductor industry.
• Familiar with MES and Database SQL.
• Knowledgeable in CAD/CAM Integration, Shop‑Floor Control, Enterprise & Business Systems, Database & Communication Networks.
