Job summary

6255 UOB Innovation Hub 2 Sdn Bhd seeks an experienced mainframe developer to support cards-related projects. You will collaborate across teams to ensure high-quality delivery of banking systems enhancements while adhering to mandated frameworks and guidelines.

The role involves production incident resolution, testing, and coordination with vendors to meet business requirements and objectives. Strong communication and SDLC understanding are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of mainframe development in banking systems and cards.
• Proficient in COBOL, CICS and EZT.
• Experience with Cardlink and Visionplus systems.
• Strong MS Office and Visio skills.
• SDLC understanding and ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with L2, business, stakeholders from project inception to deployment as a quality gate keeper.
• Resolve Production Incidents & Problems; support EODs per roster.
• Perform unit and system integration testing for production incident resolutions.
• Support user acceptance testing for production incidents.
• Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to resolve application and system issues.
• Recommend and execute improvements.
• Review requirements specifications to analyze impact to the application.
• Execute tasks related to project/change/maintenance requests.

UOB Innovation Hub 2 (InnoHub2) is a UOB-wholly owned subsidiary and a Centre of Excellence based in Malaysia, providing Group Business Services (GBS) to support the UOB Group. Started in 2021 with technology application design, development and support, InnoHub2 is expanding beyond technology services to deliver other business services to support the Bank’s growth ambition. Job Responsibilities

As a L3 Service delivery support for Cards, you will be responsible to collaborate, engage and work with L2, business, stakeholders from project inception for walk though calls till deployment phases as a quality gate keeper. Key objective is to ensure good quality and smooth delivery of cards technology system enhancements that are fully in compliance with mandated framework and guidelines.

Other responsibilities include:

• Work in the team of Cards Service Delivery to resolve Production Incidents & Problem Tickets.
• Support Production EOD’s as per Roster.
• Perform unit and system integration testing for the production incident resolutions.
• Support user acceptance testing for production incidents.
• Manage and work with technical team to implement solution that meet Business Requirements and are in alignment with organization’s business objectives.
• Troubleshoot, debug and provide production system support.
• Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to resolve application and system issues.
• Recommend and execute improvements.
• Partner with users to understand Business needs by reviewing the Requirements specifications analyse impact to the application.
• Execute tasks related to project / change request / maintenance request.

Job Requirements

• 5 + years of mainframe development, specifically in the areas of banking systems and cards
• Technically competent in COBOL, CICS and EZT programming
• Good working experience with credit card system
• Experience on Cardlink system will be advantageous.
• Good working knowledge skills with Microsoft Office Products and Microsoft Visio.
• Good understanding of the system development life cycle
• Ability to multi-task and perform well under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills
• Resourcefulness and troubleshooting aptitude.

-Server / Database: VSAM

-Language: COBOl, CICS, Easyretrieve, JCL, Rexx

-OS: Z/OS
