Job summary

UOB Innovation Hub 2 (InnoHub2) in Malaysia seeks an experienced software professional to lead end-to-end development and support for Group transitions. You will collaborate with business analysts to deliver technical solutions, implement DevOps for AS400 and Bankwide CIF, and ensure quality across the team’s deliverables.

The role requires strong AS400/DB2, RPG and ALDON knowledge, plus experience guiding junior developers and participating in agile cross-functional teams within a banking

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• At least 6 years’ experience in software development, preferably in core banking.
• Functional and system knowledge on Bank wide Customer Information (BWCIF) applications.
• Knowledge of Silverlake’s banking software suite on BWCIF module.
• Technical knowledge in AS400/DB2 architecture, RPG and ALDON.
• Experience leading a small team (good to have) and providing guidance to junior developers.
• Experience in design, development, testing, implementation and support of applications according to change requests and project requirements.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end software development and support for all work transitioned from Group (projects, change requests, L3 production fixes).
• Work with business analysts to understand requirements and provide technical solutions.
• DevOps, automation of software deployment on AS400, Silverlake and BWCIF (Bankwide CIF).
• Quality assurance of the team delivery per Bank’s software delivery methodology and tools.
• Partner with Group domain team to plan and manage transitioned deliverables.
• Create technical documents for the solutions.
• Compile documentation and reports as requested.
• Develop system documentation to capture key design decisions.
• Design and development of applications per change requests and project requirements.
• Design and update software database/tables.
• Test, maintain and recommend software improvements to ensure strong functionality and optimization.
• Work with production support to conduct root cause analysis and review code.
• Install, customise and integrate software packages and programs.
• Contribute to cross-functional team using agile methodologies.

Job Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for the end-to-end software development and support for all work transitioned from Group (which could be projects, quarterly change requests, L3 production fixes). This includes analysis and design to development, implementation, testing and support.
• You will be expected to work with business analysts to understand business requirements and provide technical solutions.
• Your work will include DevOps, automation of software deployment on AS400, Silverlake and BWC (Bankwide CIF) Customer File.
• You will also be responsible for quality assurance of the team delivery in conformance to the Bank-defined software delivery methodology and tools.
• You will partner closely with the Group domain team to plan and manage transitioned deliverables.
• Create technical documents for the solutions.
• Compile timely, comprehensive, and accurate documentation and or reports as requested.
• Develop system documentation to capture key design decisions.
• Perform design and development of applications according to change requests and project requirements.
• Design and update software database/tables. This includes, but is not limited to: Software Applications, Data Flows and User Interfaces.
• Test, maintain and recommend software improvements to ensure strong functionality and optimization.
• Work with production support team members to conduct root cause analysis of issues, review new and existing code and/or perform unit testing.
• Independently install, customise and integrate software packages and programs.
• Perform tasks as part of a cross functional development team using agile or other methodologies and utilising project management software.
