Job summary

Maybank is seeking a Cobol Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain COBOL-based applications on mainframe platforms that support card products such as credit and debit cards.

The role ensures reliable processing of card transactions and lifecycle management while collaborating with IT teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors to implement and enhance card systems in a mission-critical environment.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, IMS, and VSAM.
• Experience integrating mainframe applications with internal and external systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot production issues and optimize performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain COBOL programs for cards systems; ensure batch jobs and online transactions run reliably.
• Integrate mainframe applications with internal systems, databases, and external interfaces.
• Conduct testing and ensure security and regulatory standards are followed.
• Troubleshoot production issues; coordinate with IT operations for deployment and monitoring.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions with stakeholders.
