Job summary

Encora is seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer (L3) with strong COBOL-based development skills to support banking projects, especially in cards domain. The role involves integration work between backend mainframe systems and frontend applications.

The ideal candidate has 6–9 years of hands-on Mainframe experience (z/OS), with COBOL, JCL and CICS, plus VSAM. Familiarity with Cardlink/ Vision Plus and API exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in Mainframe (z/OS environment).
• Mandatory skills: COBOL, JCL, CICS.
• Experience with VSAM and sequential datasets (no DB exposure required).
• Good understanding of SDLC and banking domain projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, and CICS.
• Support integration of Cardlink with frontend applications
• Work on batch and online processing using VSAM and sequential datasets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across SDLC phases.
• Ensure system stability, performance, and timely issue resolution.
